How to Make Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies
  1. Beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  2. Gently beat in your room temperature eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, mixing on low speed just until combined.
  5. Gently fold in your chosen chocolate chips and optional caramel pieces.
  6. Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared sheets, leaving space between them.
  9. Bake for 9-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the centers look slightly soft.
