- Begin by filling a large pot with 4 cups of water and bring it to a rolling boil.
- Once boiling, add 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning and the halved lemon to the pot.
- Carefully drop the peeled and deveined shrimp into the bubbling water.
- Allow the shrimp to cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn a lovely pink, opaque color.
- Immediately remove the shrimp from the pot and transfer them to an ice bath.
- Let the shrimp cool for a few minutes in the ice bath, then drain and pat them dry.
- Neatly arrange the shrimp on a serving platter around a bowl of cocktail sauce.
- Sprinkle fresh parsley over the shrimp as a garnish.
- Serve your shrimp cocktail chilled.
