  • 4 cups Water for poaching
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning or your favorite spices
  • 1 Lemon halved
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Cocktail sauce personalize with ketchup and horseradish or other sauces
For Garnish
  • Fresh parsley optional for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Begin by filling a large pot with 4 cups of water and bring it to a rolling boil.
  2. Once boiling, add 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning and the halved lemon to the pot.
  3. Carefully drop the peeled and deveined shrimp into the bubbling water.
  4. Allow the shrimp to cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn a lovely pink, opaque color.
  5. Immediately remove the shrimp from the pot and transfer them to an ice bath.
  6. Let the shrimp cool for a few minutes in the ice bath, then drain and pat them dry.
  7. Neatly arrange the shrimp on a serving platter around a bowl of cocktail sauce.
  8. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the shrimp as a garnish.
  9. Serve your shrimp cocktail chilled.
