How to Make Classic Grilled Cheeseburgers
- Gently mix cold ground beef with minced garlic, onion, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Divide the meat mixture into six equal portions and flatten them into ¾-inch thick patties, about 4 inches wide.
- Create a slight dimple in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
- Heat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400-450°F, for a perfect searing temperature.
- Place the patties on the hot grill and cook for 4-5 minutes until a beautiful brown crust forms on the bottom.
- Flip the patties once and continue grilling until they reach your desired doneness.
- During the final minute of cooking, place 1-2 slices of cheddar cheese on each burger to get perfectly melty.
- Place the cheesy patties on your chosen hamburger buns and add your favorite toppings.
