Burger Patties
  • 1.5 lbs Ground Beef 80/20 blend recommended
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Ground Coriander
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Freshly ground
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Panko or regular
  • 1 large Egg For binding
Hash Brown Topping
  • 2 medium Large Russet Potatoes Shredded
  • 2 tbsp All-Purpose Flour For binding
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable Oil For frying
Assembly
  • 4 pieces Sesame Buns Toasted
  • 4 slices Sliced Cheese Cheddar or American
  • 1 medium Sliced Tomato
  • 4 leaves Lettuce Iceberg or romaine
  • 1 jar Pickled Jalapeños For assembly

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Gently combine ground beef with oregano, paprika, coriander, salt, pepper, breadcrumbs, and egg until just blended.
  2. Form the mixture into four equal patties and chill them for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Shred your potatoes and rinse them under cold water until the water runs clear.
  4. Squeeze the shredded potatoes very dry in a clean towel and toss with flour, salt, and pepper.
  5. Grill or pan-fry your seasoned patties over medium-high heat for 2-4 minutes per side.
  6. Place a slice of cheese on each cooked patty and let it melt.
  7. Heat about 1/2 cup of vegetable oil in a pan and fry spoonfuls of the potato mixture until golden brown.
  8. Toast your buns and layer the crispy hash browns, patties, and toppings.
  9. Serve immediately for the ultimate experience.
